When the Supply Cuts Out

Our house is old and the water comes out brown first thing in the morning. Is that the pipes?

Very likely. Galvanised steel pipes rust on the inside as they age, and the rust settles overnight and comes out with the first water. We can check how far the corrosion has gone and tell you honestly whether a few sections need replacing or the whole house is due for new pipes.

We live near the top of Northcliff and the pressure is poor. Can you help?

Yes. Homes high on the hill often get a weaker flow, and it drops further when demand peaks or the supply is shaky. Depending on the cause we clear or replace restricted pipes, or fit a tank with a booster pump. Further down the slope it's often the opposite problem, and a pressure-reducing valve protects the plumbing.

There's a big jacaranda in the garden and the toilet keeps gurgling. Are the two connected?
